Influencer Army is operated by The Social Game Pty Ltd (ABN pending) (“TSG”, “we”, “us”). We are committed to protecting the privacy of our users in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following personal information when you create an account and use the platform:

  • Account information: Full name, email address, password (encrypted).
  • Influencer profiles: Instagram handle, follower count, engagement rate, primary platform, food preferences, profile/portfolio links.
  • Business profiles: Venue name, address, suburb, venue type, Instagram handle.
  • Booking data: Booking dates, times, visit status, spend amounts, proof submissions.
  • Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and general interaction patterns to improve the platform.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account on the platform.
  • To facilitate bookings and collaborations between influencers and venues.
  • To verify influencer accounts (follower counts, engagement rates).
  • To send booking confirmations, reminders, and platform notifications.
  • To detect and prevent fraudulent activity (e.g. bot accounts, fake engagement).
  • To improve the platform experience and develop new features.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We share data only in the following circumstances:

  • Between users: Venue owners can see influencer profiles (name, handle, follower count, rating, engagement rate) when reviewing bookings and pitches. Influencers can see venue profiles and booking details.
  • Service providers: We use Supabase (database/auth), Resend (email), and Vercel (hosting) to operate the platform. These providers process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process.

4. Instagram Data

We collect your publicly available Instagram handle and follower count as provided by you during registration. Our team may manually verify this information by viewing your public Instagram profile. We do not access your Instagram account via the Instagram API, do not store your Instagram password, and do not scrape private Instagram data. Engagement rates are calculated manually by our admin team from publicly visible post metrics.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser local storage and session cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies. Our hosting provider (Vercel) may collect basic analytics data such as page views and geographic region.

6. Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act, you have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated personal data.
  • Complaint: Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you believe your privacy has been breached.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the platform services. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.
